Our first stop was at Cousins Ale Works, a family-owned brewery in Wappingers Falls. We tried a flight of their signature beers, including the Hop Sauce IPA and the Blackberry Stout, which were both delicious. Joe gave us a behind-the-scenes tour of the brewing process and explained how Cousins Ale Works has maintained its small-batch, artisanal approach even as it has grown in popularity.
At our third stop, Angry Orchard in Walden, we learned about the art of cider-making. The sprawling orchard was a beautiful sight to behold, and we enjoyed learning about the history of the property and the various types of apples used to make Angry Orchard’s ciders. We sampled a flight of ciders, including the crisp and refreshing Rose and the complex and flavorful Stone Dry.
Overall, we give Brew Bus NY our highest recommendation.
